Why Prepare for Medicare?
Medicare changes all the time — and figuring it out can feel like a full-time job. That’s why I wrote Prepare for Medicare – The Insider’s Guide to Buying Medicare Insurance®. In my experience, it doesn’t matter how “smart” you are. From GED to Ph.D., Medicare is confusing and frustrating for almost everyone. Even my mom, a former professional educator, calls me every October stressed about her Annual Notice of Change. If she finds it painful, no wonder millions of other people do too.
That’s why I created the Prepare for Medicare Insider Method™ — to cut through the clutter, filter out the noise, and give you a clear path forward without a high-pressure sales pitch.

I’m Matt Feret — author of the Prepare for Medicare® and Prepare for Social Security™ Insider’s Guide series, creator of the Prepare for Medicare Insider Method™, and founder of PrepareforMedicare.com and PrepareforSocialSecurity.com.
I spent more than 20 years in leadership roles at Fortune 500 Medicare health insurers across sales, marketing, operations, product development, and strategy. Now, I use that insider experience to help middle-aged and older adults make smarter, more confident decisions about Medicare, Social Security, and life’s big transitions.
